🐡 blendr, the monkey

blendr is a small monkey with enormous render ambitions. He lives in a tiny retro window titled blendr.blend, quietly convinced that if he just keeps subdividing, one day he will be famous. Spoiler for level 27: he is completely right.

Name origin

A wink at Blender, the free and open-source 3D program beloved by animators, game developers, and everyone who has ever accidentally shipped the default cube. Real Blender projects save as .blend files, which is exactly what blendr's title bar claims to be. And Suzanne, whom he becomes at his final stage, is Blender's actual mascot: a monkey-head test model that ships inside the program itself.

How to bring them home

You can't anymore, sorry: blendr was RETIRED in the final roster trim of July 2026 and is off the buddy store shelf for good. If you already own him, nothing changes: owners are grandfathered and keep blendr forever. Everyone else can browse the buddies still on sale over at the compendium, all paid for with your own points.

Their yard

blendr comes with a studio yard: his very own 3D viewport, complete with grid floor, the default cube slowly orbiting, and the 3D cursor sitting exactly where you did not want it, as is tradition.
