ποΈ Stickies: the class card wall
Stickies is a card wall: you pick the columns (Ideas and Questions, Know / Want to know / Learned, an exit ticket), and students post short cards into them from their own devices. It lives in the teacher console under Activities β ποΈ Stickies, and you can run it from the projector overlay too.
Set it up first, open it when you're ready
The board is always there for you to prepare. Students see nothing until you flip one switch, so you can build the wall before class and reveal it at the right moment.
- Pick a layout: Brainstorm, K-W-L, Pros / Cons / Questions, Exit ticket, or Agree / Disagree. Want your own columns? Edit them in the console (up to 6 columns, 40 characters per name).
- Give it a title if you like. The title shows to the class.
- When you're ready, turn on π Students can see Stickies in the console, or press π Students: off on the projector so it reads π Students: on.
Turn student access off again any time. The board, its columns, and its cards stay put for you; students just stop seeing it.
What students do
Once the board is open, students tap the ποΈ Stickies button by the chat box, pick a column, and post. A card holds up to 280 characters of text and emoji. No images.
- Students can post only while a session is running and posting is open.
- Every card goes through the same automod as chat, including the slow-mode timer, and flooding earns a strike just like it does in chat.
- If Review before post is on (in Chat preferences), student cards wait for your β in the console before anyone sees them.
- A board holds up to 300 cards.
Running it during class
These controls work from both the console and the Stickies box on the projector:

On the projector, drag the box by its β Ώ handle and resize it from the corner grip. The βοΈ button opens the console for custom columns and the title.
Held cards (from Review before post) are only ever shown in your console, never on the projector, because a held card can contain something the filter flagged.
Hide names is not anonymity
Hiding names only changes what classmates and the projector show. You always see who posted every card, and mutes, timeouts, and the automod still apply to the real author. Tell students that, so nobody mistakes it for an anonymous wall.
Each class period gets a fresh wall
Cards belong to the session they were posted in. When you start the next session, the wall starts empty with the same columns. Between sessions you can still review or clear the last session's cards.
Keeping a record
Session exports include a Stickies document: every card grouped by column, always with authorship. See Privacy and your students' data for how exports work.
